NAMS 2010 Report One

We have all arrived safely with no problems on the airline with our gear etc, although due to a earthquake (5.5) Trent and Michaels sail tubes did not arrive into Kingston until 5.00pm on Wednesday hence the sailors were not able to get on the water yesterday, except Eliza and Nick who had travelled 16 hours with a 10 hour stop over in LA, but as you can probably understand they were just not ready for a sail.

Thursday morning rolled around with black skies, rain and very light winds.  We all ventured down to the club after a very nice breakfast feeling like it would be a wet day only to see that blue sky was on the way and the sun was about to shine.  The sailors enjoyed two sessions on the water with breeze ranging from 6 - 15 knots.  Conditions were great to test new gear and to go over the all aspects of the new sailing venue. They found the conditions to be quite different from that at home, but quite confident they will obtaining the knowledge before the regatta starts

We all enjoyed a great night in a park having dinner and playing around with a fizbee, all ready for tomorrow for measurement at 10.00am.
