Hello New Zealand Optimist Parents,
The NZIODA Committee is reaching out to all Optimist parents to find a Treasurer for the upcoming 2019/2020 season.
The role is important as it provides the financial guidance to the Committee to allow us to invest in the future of Optimist sailing throughout New Zealand.
We currently have the day-to-day payments processing being taken care of so the key responsibilities are:
- Creation of a budget for the season
- Work with Trusts and other funding agencies to submit funding requests
- Reporting to the Committee on the financial state of the association
Someone with a background in finance / accounting would be ideal for the role.Estimated time commitment: Approx. 3-4 hours / month
NZIODA is a voluntary organisation that aims to govern and improve Optimist sailing in New Zealand, with approx. 400 members this role is important to allow our next generation of sailors to start on the right foot.
