The Sir Peter Blake Torbay Regatta 2015

5th - 6th December

The regatta is New Zealands Largest and most anticipated annual centre board regatta, and it is always held over the first full weekend of December. Sailed in the superb sailing waters off Torbay Auckland it hosts the most commonly sailed centreboard dinghy classes. Each event has approximately 450 sailors, and as many as 60 support craft. This regatta is not just another regatta, it is truly unique on the sailing calendar. No other regatta comes close to the size, professionalism, and the experience offered here. It is a must do for any keen sailor.

Although the regatta is predominantly youth oriented there are many classes such as lasers, paper tiger, jollyboat and foiling moths which attract adult sailors. The regatta has quickly become NZ's largest centreboard regatta and one of the most respected sailing events in Australasia. It is recognised by Yachting NZ as a 'significant regatta' which means the event has official judges on the water, and Yachting NZ resources etc for added drama.

The Sir Peter Blake Regatta is a unique celebration of Sir Peter's life, his values and his passion for sailing. The regatta has exclusive rights to the name and blessing for the event from the Sir Peter Blake Trust.
